In short
We collect what is needed to run your transfer — your name, contact details, the pickup and drop-off, the time, and your flight number — plus basic technical data about your visit.
We share it with the transport company driving you, and with the processors that send our email, take our payments and measure the site. We do not sell it. You can ask to see, correct or delete it at any time.
This summary is here to be read. It is not the agreement — the numbered sections below are.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Taxiqo is a trading name of Sinai Taxi Ltd, registered in the United Kingdom at 71-75 Shelton Street, London, is the data controller for the personal data described here.
For any question about this policy, or to exercise the rights in section 9, email [email protected].
2. What we collect
Data you give us when you book or create an account:
- Name, email address, phone number and WhatsApp number
- Pickup and drop-off locations, the date and time, and the number of passengers
- Flight number, hotel or room number and any note you add for the driver
- Nationality, date of birth and gender, where you add them to your profile
- A copy of your passport, only if you choose to upload one for a journey that needs it
- Your booking history, and any message you send our support team
Data collected automatically when you use the site: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, time of the visit, and referring page. Cookies and similar technologies are described in the Cookie policy.
We do not receive or store your card number. Payments are handled by our payment service provider, which is PCI-DSS certified.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To arrange and perform your transfer, and to give the driver what they need to find you — performance of our contract with you.
- To take payment, issue refunds and keep accounting records — performance of the contract, and our legal obligations.
- To send booking confirmations, driver details and service messages — performance of the contract.
- To provide customer support and handle complaints — performance of the contract, and our legitimate interest in running the service well.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and fix faults — our legitimate interests.
- To measure how the site is used and improve it — your consent, given through the cookie banner.
- To send marketing about similar services — your consent, or our legitimate interest where you are an existing customer. You can opt out at any time, in every message we send.
- To comply with law, and to establish or defend legal claims — our legal obligations and legitimate interests.
5. International transfers
We operate in many countries, so your data may be transferred outside the country you live in — including to the transport company in the country where the transfer takes place, which cannot be avoided if the journey is to happen.
Where data leaves the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision where one exists, and otherwise on standard contractual clauses with appropriate safeguards.
6. How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for as long as we need them for the service and then for the period tax and accounting law requires, currently six years.
Account data is kept while your account is open, and deleted or anonymised after it is closed, except where we must keep a record of a transaction.
A passport copy is kept only while it is needed for the journey it was uploaded for, and then deleted.
Technical and analytics data is kept in identifiable form for a short period and then aggregated.
7. How it is protected
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, access is limited to staff who need it, and payment data never reaches our systems.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as the law requires.
8. Analytics and third-party services
With your consent we use product analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, where a booking is abandoned, whether a change we made helped. This is used in aggregate to improve the service.
Some parts of the site rely on third parties that receive data in order to work at all: maps and place suggestions, sign-in with Google if you use it, and the payment provider at checkout. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time from the Cookie policy page.
9. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to do the following, and we answer within one month:
- Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure — delete data we no longer have a reason to keep.
- Restriction — pause processing while a dispute is resolved.
- Objection — object to processing we base on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Portability — receive the data you gave us in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, withdraw it without affecting what was done before.
Much of this can be done yourself from your account. For the rest, email [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area and you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
The service is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Children travel as passengers on a booking made by an adult, whose details we hold. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the current version, and a material change will be notified to you before it takes effect.
12. Contact
