Terms and conditions

In short

Taxiqo is a booking platform. We arrange and take payment for private transfers; the driving is done by licensed local transport companies, and your journey is also subject to their terms.

You must be 18 or over to book. Prices are fixed per vehicle. Cancellations follow our refund policy. Our liability is limited, and these terms are governed by the law stated at the end.

This summary is here to be read. It is not the agreement — the numbered sections below are.

1. Who you are contracting with

Taxiqo is a trading name of Sinai Taxi Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom at 71-75 Shelton Street, London. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean that company, and "you" means the person using the service or booking a transfer.

These terms, together with the Privacy policy, the Cookie policy and the Refund and cancellation policy, form the agreement between you and us for your use of the Taxiqo website and the bookings you make through it. Please read them before booking.

2. Definitions

  • "Platform" means the Taxiqo website and the booking service provided through it.
  • "Supplier" means a third-party transport company that performs a transfer booked through the Platform.
  • "Transfer" means the transport service booked through the Platform, including airport, city and intercity journeys.
  • "Booking" means a confirmed reservation of a Transfer.
  • "Traveller" means you or any person travelling under a Booking.

3. What the Platform is, and is not

We provide an online platform that prices, reserves and takes payment for Transfers, and a support service around those bookings.

We are not the operator of the Transfer. We do not own or drive the vehicles. Transfers are performed by Suppliers: licensed transport companies in the country of the journey, who are responsible for the vehicle, the driver, and compliance with local transport law.

Our own obligations are to make the Platform available, to reserve the Transfer you booked, to pass the payment to the Supplier, and to deal with you if something goes wrong with the Booking.

4. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Platform.

If you book on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are authorised to do so, you remain bound by these terms, and you will make the other travellers aware of them.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us — names, contact numbers, flight numbers, addresses — and for keeping your account password secure. A driver sent to the wrong address on the strength of wrong details is not a failed Transfer.

5. Bookings and prices

The price shown for a vehicle is the total fare for that vehicle for the journey described, including tolls and taxes, unless the booking page says otherwise. Extras you choose, such as a child seat, are priced separately and shown before payment.

Prices are quoted and charged in euros. Any other currency shown on the site is an indication only; your bank applies its own exchange rate and may charge a foreign transaction fee.

A Booking is confirmed when we confirm it, not when you submit the form. You receive a confirmation by email with a booking reference.

Payment is taken by card through a third-party payment service provider, or, where the route allows it and you choose it, partly online and partly in cash to the driver. We do not store your card details.

6. Your use of the Platform

The Platform, its content, its software and the Taxiqo name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use them to book and manage transfers, and not for anything else, without our written consent.

  • Do not scrape, crawl, cache or copy the Platform or its prices by automated means, or use them in a competing service.
  • Do not reverse engineer, disassemble or attempt to derive the source of any part of the Platform.
  • Do not interfere with the Platform's security, availability or performance, or attempt to access accounts that are not yours.
  • Do not use another person's identity or payment method, or supply false information.
  • Do not abuse, threaten or harass drivers, our staff or other travellers.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these rules, and may refuse a Booking.

7. On the day

Please be at the agreed pickup point at the agreed time. Airport pickups include the free waiting time described in the Refund and cancellation policy; for other pickups the driver waits a reasonable period.

A Supplier may refuse to carry a traveller whose behaviour is dangerous, abusive or unlawful, or who will not use a child seat that local law requires. No refund is due in those cases.

Occasionally a driver is delayed by circumstances outside our control. Where arriving by a particular time is critical, please allow a margin and be ready to use an alternative. We cannot be responsible for a missed flight, connection or appointment caused by traffic, weather, road closure or similar events.

8. Changes and cancellations

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.

We may need to change a vehicle class, driver or timing for operational reasons. Where a change materially affects the Transfer you booked, you may accept it or cancel for a full refund.

9. Travel documents and border crossings

You are responsible for holding the passport, visa and any other documents required for your journey, including for any country you pass through.

We accept no liability if you are refused carriage or entry to a country because your documents are not in order, and no refund is due in that case.

10. Suppliers and third-party links

We select Suppliers on licensing, insurance and vehicle condition and review them on what travellers report, but we do not endorse them and we cannot verify every detail of every journey.

The Platform may link to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices; read their terms before using them.

11. Complaints and reporting misconduct

If a driver behaves inappropriately, report it to the local authorities where a crime may have been committed, and then to us with any police reference. We will investigate with the Supplier.

Complaints about a Transfer should reach us within 30 days of the journey so that we can investigate while records are still available.

12. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure against every attack, or that schedules will not be affected by strikes, road closures, weather, accidents, civil disturbance or other events beyond our control.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of enjoyment, or costs arising from a missed flight, connection or appointment.

Subject to that, our total liability arising from a Booking is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for that Booking and EUR 100.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your use of the Platform in breach of these terms or of any law, or from your infringement of a third party's rights.

15. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms. A change takes effect seven days after it is published on this page, and applies to Bookings made after that date. Where a change is material we will tell you. Continuing to use the Platform after that means you accept the change.

16. General

You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours, for example on a sale of the business, without reducing your rights.

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues in force. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.

These terms, with the policies referred to in them, are the entire agreement between us about the Platform.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Egypt, except where the law of your country of residence gives you a right to bring proceedings locally that cannot be excluded.

Where you are a consumer, nothing in these terms removes the statutory rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

18. Contact

Questions about these terms: [email protected], or message us on WhatsApp at any hour.
